Who can enter

Players must be at least 13. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission, and any cash prize they win is paid to that parent or guardian. Void where prohibited. The sponsor's employees and their households can't win prizes. One entry per person, one duo per player. Alt accounts are disqualified.

Dates

Registration opens September 29, 2026 at 12 pm ET. For each event, register by 30 minutes before it starts. The clip track closes October 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET. Event dates are listed in the schedule above.

Format

Online 2v2 on the Forest Court with standard match settings. Qualifying is the cup ladder: on cup nights, registered duos queue together for Founders Cup matches from Play, and every match changes each player's cup rating. A duo's standing is the average of its two players' cup ratings, and a duo is ranked after 3 cup games. The six best-ranked duos when the ladder closes on October 10 at 10 pm ET play the finals, a single-elimination bracket seeded by standing. Semifinals and the final are best of three; other finals rounds are one game. Finals are played in private rooms and may be spectated and streamed. A duo more than 10 minutes late to a finals match forfeits. If a player disconnects in the first 60 seconds of a finals game with no goals scored, the game is replayed once. The sponsor settles disputes using the match replay, and that decision is final. Alpha MMR, 2v2 MMR and the Top 100 are not used for seeding or prizes.

Clip track

Two awards, best goal and best fail, judged by the sponsor on skill or comedy (50%), clarity and editing (25%), and use of the Embercast Cup sound on TikTok (25%). Discord uploads receive full marks for sound. Clips must be your own real Embercast gameplay from the contest period.

Referral match

When you first sign in to Embercast, the game asks who invited you. You may name one player, within 72 hours of creating your account. If you win a cash prize, the player you named wins the same amount, paid by the sponsor in addition to your prize. They must meet the same eligibility rules and can't be on your duo. The name the game records is final and can't be changed. One level only: people who invited your referrer don't win. Anyone can be named by any number of players. Sparks prizes are not matched. Total cash paid can't exceed $400.

Prizes

Cash prizes are paid by PayPal within 14 days after the winner confirms their details; a digital gift card is available to winners without PayPal. Winners must reply within 7 days, or an alternate winner may be chosen. Sparks are in-game currency with no cash value. Prizes can't be transferred, and winners are responsible for any taxes.

Conduct

Cheating, exploits, account sharing, harassment, hate speech, match-fixing and clips that aren't your own are grounds for disqualification.

Your clips

You keep ownership of your clips. By submitting one, you let the sponsor repost, feature and promote it with credit to you, royalty-free.

General

Winners' player names and TikTok handles may be announced publicly. Information you give is used only to run the cup and pay prizes, as described in our privacy notice. The sponsor may change dates, formats or prizes, or cancel the event, if circumstances or abuse make it unfair, and will announce any change in Discord. These rules are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA. Entrants release TikTok, Discord and PayPal from liability related to the cup.
